It is hard to have a good attitude when you are exhausted, sore and all you want to do is get in the shower, and you go to get in and find that someone got there before you. It is hard to have a good attitude when you have saved something for yourself and someone else takes it. It is hard to have a good attitude when you really want to be alone and everyone else really wants to be with you.
Yes, it is hard to have a good attitude when life seems to be against you, I know this all too well. I have struggled with my attitude for years, and I can’t tell you how many times I have lost my battle. So why is important to work on your attitude? I mean after all, life is hard and we all have our bad days, right?
Over the past two years I have worked hard and, with God’s help, my attitude has really improved. To my amazement I realized how much of life I was missing out on because of my bad attitude. So many things that God had placed in my life to be blessings had been marred by having a bad attitude about something.
So how do win the battle over attitude? Unfortunately, the answer is a lot of time and practice. For me, I had to make myself look at the good side of things, instead of always looking at what was wrong. Sometimes your attitude will follow your actions. I would sometimes try to act the opposite way I felt.
