A couple weeks ago, Scott and I were looking over a note I wrote about a year ago. It was one I had tried to forget I wrote because it was one that hurt to write. On that piece of paper, I had, once again, handed God all my hopes and feelings for Scott and said that I would be grateful for our friendship and not expect more. Scott and I read this together, sitting on the couch holding hands.
It hit me hard that, one year ago, I thought I might have to give up my close friendship with Scott. A year later, we are planning a wedding together. It made my heart ache with the happiness and the joy of it all and also filled with gratitude.
Mom and I booked a venue for my wedding. We have a pastor, we have the place, and have each other. Invites are about to go out for our September 12th Wedding. It's getting so real!
This season isn't just about us getting married either. God has been working to restore relationships our family has prayed about for years. This time is full of planning, full of joy, full of hope. My days are filled with planning, connecting with the people in my life, and building a strong foundation for my future life.
Because of all this, I've decided that I'm going to put a lot of my online life on pause until November. I'll post a little on social media through August, but I plan to spend all of September through part of November with social apps off my phone and be completely focused on the people around me, the wedding, and then my new marriage.
I know this can be a scary time for readers. Some of you are probably wondering if I'll ever finish the Kate's Case Files series, or come out with another book. Let me assure you that while yes, writing has taken a back seat, Scott and I are already making plans to make my writing a priority. He wants me to write and finish the series as much as any of my readers.

I'm going to miss you all, but I'll be back.
Love,
Sarah
