I cannot believe that 2016 is already over and 2017 is here. How did I do on last years goals? Mostly, God had different plans for my year than I did. However, I was still able to accomplish a lot.
For this year? Here are is my list!
What are some of your goals for the coming year.
This week is just one in my mad dash to catch up on my work, reading, and life. I am also trying to to be more active (which is why I want to walk a mile each day) and keep my working sister from feeling she needs to clean the room on the weekends.
The thing I am most excited about this week? The second Kate's Case Files is about to be placed into the hands of early readers!
Well, the last couple of months have not gone anything like what I had planned. I have a mountain of work which I was already supposed to have scaled, and it looks very daunting right now. However, I keep reminding myself that God's ways are not my ways and His plans are not my plans. While I am very behind in what I hope to accomplish, I know I have been busy with the work God has set before me.
After two weeks of being with my dear friend who has been sick, I am returning home. Here are my goals for the coming week:
This was another week when I didn't meet my goals. I was tired, had a hard time focusing, and things came up. Even though I forced myself to stay in front of my computer screen for hours, the words were slow in coming. Life distracted me from what I wanted to do, but that is okay. One of the things I learned long ago about goals is that they are good things, but they should never keep you from what God places in your path to do.
Here is to hoping that this week is busy, productive, and full of meaningful time with God.
Last week, it was a struggle to complete my goals, and I didn't make all of them, but I did finish what I considered to be the most important one: I finished Courage and Corruption. It was awesome to see how the story changed as I went.
Well, here are this week's goals!
Well, here are this week's goals!
This January I am doing sort of a writing retreat. I am
spending most of my days pounding away at my keyboard. I needed this, and have for a long time, and I am finally letting myself do it. Writing is cleansing for me. When things wound me, I often let them sit and fester. Talking about it is like lancing the wound, and writing is the healing balm. This month is my month of healing balm.

Well, a new year and a new blog feature. You can follow along with me and see my goals for the week and see how many I can complete. If nothing else, I am going to have a lot of fun making a bulletin board every week.
