When I started this blog, I didn’t have many friends. In fact, other than my siblings, I only had one friend outside of my family. That was one of the reasons I started my blog. I had ideas I desperately wanted to share with people outside of my family, but most people, even the ones in my church, weren’t interested in hearing them.
I had been blogging about a two or three months when this girl named Jessica sent me an e-mail. She asked if we could be writing buddies. I said yes, not thinking it would last long. About a year later, we were still going back and forth, and we decided to start a devotional blog. I had no idea what would come from that.
In 2009, there were some big changes in my life, and my family and I were left very hurt and wounded, emotionally. We helped each other, but when you are all hurt, it helps to have some well people to help you. To my absolute amazement, the writers of MOHL rallied around me. Through e-mails, messages, letters, and phone calls, God not only used them to help me heal, they became my friends.
When I started this blog, I felt alone. As I write this, my life is so full of friends that it is overwhelming. I give thanks to my father in heaven that I am not who I was.
This week and next I am on vacation. So, what do I use my vacation for?

Writing devotionals for this blog
Writing book reviews
(catch these reviews on my blog soon)
Editing my Medieval book
Starting my FBI book
(Sneak peeks coming soon)
Oh and other non-writing things, too, like reading some awesome books
What are you doing for your vacation?
Chosen. We all desire to be chosen, to be picked for the team to make the top list, to be thought to be the best for the job opening. We long for the day when Mr. Right slips that ring onto our finger as a symbol to the world that we are his chosen one... To read the rest of my devotional on being chosen... click here

In a time when so much of the world in negative, there is a need for things that will be a positive influence in our lives. In a day when tearing others down is the norm, we need to be built up and help others do the same.
Written by my dear friend and fellow Meditations of His Love author, Rachelle (pronounced like Michelle), this blog is full of inspiring, encouraging, and thought-provoking posts. Every post seems designed to lift you up and make your day better. How much better can a blog get?
So this month I pick Rose's Daring Adventure to be my blog of the month. What do you think the next blog should be?
This is my last post for the wonderful year of 2010 and that is hard to believe. Let us look back at some of the best posts and great moments of 2010 here, and on Meditations of His Love.
What were your favorite blogs posts?
I have a cold which means some things fall through the cracks. One of the things that I try to do but don’t do well is write blog posts. So, if this post seems to ramble, know that I usually do better.
Can you believe it? In just two days we will start our Bible challenge, (chick on the picture below for more information). I can hardly wait to start reading through the Bible in 90 days! It is hard to think it has been a year since I did the Bible in Six months challenge; it would seem I am starting a tradition in my life.
What are the other happenings in my life? Well, I soon will begin training for my new job. I cannot believe that I will be working at the capitol twice a week for my new representative. As many of you know, I enjoy politics, and this year I have been heavily involved. I worked on his campaign and so pleased at the offer to work in his office during the upcoming legislative session.
I have also been busy keeping my writing on target even though I have been sick. I am hoping to take the first week in January to do some serious writing work, which includes writing some posts for my sadly neglected Writing Saturday. There will be a post this Saturday, so stay tuned.
One more random note; If you have a Facebook page you can follow my blog through networked blogs.
I have been so pleased that we have been able to fill every slot in the past three or four Meditations of His Love (or MOHL) guest weeks. We have another guest week coming up and I would love to have it filled up way ahead of time. So if you are interested in writing a guest post for MOHL you can go to our Writers Page to learn more.

As many of you probably guessed due to the fact that this blog has been so sadly neglected, life for me right now is very busy. Life just keeps throwing things our way, most of which are good, that have taken a lot of my time as of late.
My Dad launched his online art store which I am managing.
I have been busy taking advantage of the little vacation we are taking from MOHL to get caught up on all the writing that has been piling up. I have already written two future posts for MOHL as well as scheduled three weeks for my own blog. I know that may not sound like a lot but when you write an average of about three to five hundred and you write eighteen posts, it adds up.
I have also been hard at work planning out school for the coming year. Yes, I have graduated but I’m helping mom to teach my two youngest siblings. I love it so much and it has been so fun to come up with my own lesson plans. I will start teaching the first part of September.
Please pray, one of our cars died and so during the week we are without a vehicle. If we lived in the city, having only one car wouldn’t be as big a deal but since we rely on it to get anywhere it is becoming an issue. My brother has already had to miss one basketball practice, which was hard for him. Also, the car that is working the air conditioning is going out on it. Please pray that it will last the rest of the summer.

I had a wonderful Sunday! It was full of fellowship with some wonderful people, and volley ball. I hit the ball over the net for the first time ever which was a wonderful feeling. I am not great at any sport that has balls in it, but maybe I am getting better.
My allergies are doing much better so I hope to have a week full of posting, making up for last week which was so empty. One of the things I am going to try to do more is participate when writing prompts are given on blogs such as Literary Pursuits and Penciled Whimsies. I would love it if you joined me in doing them.
I could also use your prayers; my mom’s dad is going into the hospital for surgery. He is in a lot of pain, has some major heath issues, and he is not a believer. Please pray that the surgery would go well and that my Grandfather would turn to the God.
One other thing before I go. Over at Meditations of His Love, we are looking for a new author. If you would be interested, go over there and follow the instructions to apply.
Have a great day.

As I am sure all of you are aware of, I write for a devotional blog called Meditations of His Love along with some other girls. Right now, we are conducting a survey. If you have a few free moments, please go here and answer the ten questions. We are trying to get 100 people to do the survey. So, if you have the time, it would be a great help to us.
At MOHL (Meditations of His Love), we have a guest writer week every once in a while. One of the things that a lot of people who have done the survey have said is that they would really like to see more guest writers. This guest week will be the first time that we have had a full one. So, if you are ever interested in writing for us; you can email me your submissions anytime on any subject.
There is one other bit of news on MOHL that I would like to share with you. We are about to start looking for a new author. If you might be interested in that; keep your eyes on our blog for more information.

Would you like an opportunity to write about what God has been teaching you? We are looking for guest writers for our blog, Meditations of His Love. In two weeks we will be posting three guest posts, and one of them could be yours! Here is what you need to do.
1. Write a post that about five hundred to seven hundred words long on what God has been teaching you.
2. Send your guest post to me, Sarah, at thedestinyofone(at )yahoo(dot)com along with your blog or website address, if you have one.
3. Hopefully you will be picked and your post will appear on the blog, along with a link to your blog/website. Now that sounds easy, doesn’t it?
Have fun writing about what God has been teaching you! I am looking forward to reading your submissions.

What is going on today? That is a good question, and I am so glad you asked, because there are two things I want to tell y'all about (I love using the word y'all).
I posted the first devotional on Meditations of His Love! I encourage you to start making MHL part of your daily quiet time. With all the different girls who will be writing, there will be at least one that will touch your heart. For the next three weeks we will be talking about women of the Bible. I will be doing a three part series on Martha, the sister of Lazarus.
On the subject of my life, today my siblings and I are going to shop for our mom’s birthday gift. Her birthday is on May fourth, and we like to get our shopping done early. We have a pretty good idea what we want to get her, but since my mom is a faithful reader of this blog, we guys will have to wait until the fifth probably to find out what it is.

His Is Risen! Praise the LORD! I had a busy but good weekend and I’m totally exhausted. Thank you all for your great questions on writing Saturday! I will be doing my best to answer them all this coming Saturday. I am also getting ready for the launch of Meditations of His Love. I am so excited about this new blog, I hope that you will come over and see us.
Announcing a new blog that I and some of my other blogging friends will write together. It is called Meditations of His Love, and it will be a daily devotional. We will be studying women of the bible to start with.
