An Amazing Dilemma

Today, we continue August Amazingness with a dive into the third book in the Kate's Case Files series. It's a fun installment of the series with summer vacation vibes.
What inspired Kate's Dilemma?
The story was inspired by a lot of conversations I had with people about what constitutes stealing work, fair use, and pirating. The setting was inspired by my good friend Rachelle. She lived near Charleston, and the way she and I talked about many of the things she loved about the city. When I was almost done writing the book, I got to take an unexpected quick trip to South Carolina. I met my good friend Rachelle, who is a talented author as well.

What was the biggest challenge in writing this book?
As with many of my stories, I struggled to write the middle part of this story. I had a pretty clear beginning and ending, but the middle at times was a struggle to fill in.

I look forward to reading book 3 after I finish the first 2 books. Seems like another interesting theme!
I've heard Charleston was a pretty place; it certainly looks charming from the picture!
