I really, really adore this series. I personally don't like waiting for the next book. So what did I think of this installment?
My Review
Anyone who read Reversal Zone will know that it left you desperate for the next book. I was so privileged to be part of the advanced reader team. This book was not a disappointment.
The first thing that people will find is that this takes place on Earth. It is a different feel from the other books, but we don’t lose sight of the space age technology, or forget the peril that we are in. Andi, after all, has a limited time to get what she needs to survive. It only takes one message to send her, August, and Crash on an adventure to save a little girl.
This book really focuses on August and Andi’s relationship. I really enjoyed seeing them discover more about each other outside the starship setting. As August is a much-beloved character in this series, many will be happy to learn more about him and see how the adventure affects them.
I love seeing how Andi is growing and changing. As she is being stretched and placed in new situations, you see her maturing and coming into her own. I look forward to seeing how the next book or two develops her character.
One of my favorite aspects is to watch how well Pennington wove the story. So many things are not as they appear and leave you second guessing everything. I know I was surprised by the twists in the story, which doesn’t happen a lot to me. However, this story once again left me in need of the next book. I hope it comes out soon!
I highly recommend this book and series to those who like stories of adventure, sci-fi, and young-adult fiction.

Kendra, what draws you to fairy tales?
I grew up on Fairy Tales, my mother telling my sister and I all sorts of obscure ones as we took walks around the block. So reading, and rewriting them, is very much a chance to revisit my childhood. I love the simplicity and universality of the tales. And I love exploring tales over and over, seeing how many new ways they can be twisted, and seeing what stays the same through any incarnation.
What makes you most excited about this new release?
Mostly the fact that everyone who has read the book has loved it. Also, I have some adorable characters in this book that I can't wait to loose upon the world.
What is next for you as a writer?
I am in the process of revising and re-releasing all six of my novels with brand new covers, details on that here. Beyond that, I've been working on entries for the Rooglewood contest, which I'll probably be releasing next year if they don't win, and Worth of a King, which is a sort-of prequel to Rizkaland, delving into a chapter of the villain's backstory, back before she went evil.
What is your favorite writing snack?
I'm not really a snack-while-I-write person. I'll keep water on my desk, most of the time, but that's usually about it, though I currently have a box of crackers on my desk that I have been snacking on today. I was hungry the last time I went shopping...

Morgan Elizabeth Huneke is a homeschool graduate who lives in Georgia. She has enjoyed creating characters and writing stories since early childhood. While not the best formatted ebook, not an exhaustive history, I really enjoyed this little book. It was a bit of history, with lots of pictures and interesting facts. I look forward to reading more in this series.
