Bible in Six Months Update

7:57 AM

I have a confession to make; I am way behind in my Bible reading. I know that it seems that I am always behind, and often I am. I guess that tells you something about me. I am catching up though and hope to complete this challenge on time.“‘How can I give you up, Ephraim? How can I hand you over, Israel? How can I treat you like Admah? How can I make you like Zeboiim? My heart is changed within me; all my compassion is aroused. I will not carry out my fierce anger, nor will I turn and devastate Ephraim. For I am God, and not man--the Holy One among you. I will not come in wrath.’” Hosea 11:8&9

You know, I thought that at this point I would be tired of reading my Bible in huge chunks every day, but I’m not. There are moments when I am, don’t get me wrong, but for the most part I’m really enjoying it. I’m still finding I’m learning a lot by getting the overall picture.

These are some verses I found in the book of Hosea. Toward the end of the book, after telling Israel to turn from her sin or else, we find these verses that give us a glimpse into the nature of God.

  1. You can do it! I'll be praying for you. I'm a little behind this week too. Isn't it amazing how much we can learn from reading such large portions of Scripture? I am so blessed by this challenge. :)

    Blessings!
