What is Next? Part 1

7:59 AM

As we get ready for a new year, we start to plan ahead. We think of the things we want to accomplish and to do in the coming year. I have been doing a lot of thinking and over the next few days, I would like to share some of my plans for the future with you.

One of my goals this year is to connect with other likeminded girls and form some friendships. To that end I am going to be starting a home school Alumni girls group in February. Right now I am working out the details, like where we are going to meet and things like that but I am really excited.

One of the things I hope that this group encourages is other events. Such as opportunities to serve the LORD together as well as just have fun. I want this group to be one that fosters strong, healthy friendships. I would also like it to be a place where someone who is going through a hard time is welcome. I want to be able to encourage girls to higher and better things.

That is my idea. What do you think?

  3. I say awesome! Good, godly friendships are hard to get, and starting a group sounds like a great way to build some. What is Alumni? I've participated in Bright Lights, but have never heard of Alumni before. Is it for older girls? Next fall I'd like to start up a Bible study-type group, such as Bright Lights, but would love to find something that's geared more towards older young women.

  6. Alli,
I just don't really have a written list yet. But here are a few things I plan to do.

Read the Bible is six months.
Work on loving others as Jesus loves them.
Balancing family and my new ventures.

  7. Miss Serenity,

Alumni means graduated from. So if I started a home school alumni group I would be starting a group for people who have graduated from their home school high school.

I am so sorry that I confused you.
