Where were you eight years ago today?

It is hard to imagine that it has been eight years since that life-changing day. I was eleven years old, and suddenly the world that had felt so safe was scary and full of evil. September 11, 2001 is a day that I will never forget, and I hope that you won’t forget it either.
That morning had started like so many others; we were watching the weather when they broke in to say something had hit the World Trade Center. We watched for several minutes, adding our own speculation to the mix. Then came one of the most horrifying moments of my life; a plane came onto the screen, crashing into the second tower. That image and feeling are burned in my brain. I don’t think that I could ever forget.
Where were you on September 11, 2001?

I was in public school and I was 4 or 5. I don't remember anything about that day, but I've learned a whole lot about it since it happened!
ReplyDeleteMay God Bless the families who've had lost someone because of that tragic event and the people who are still dying to this day because of 9/11 :(.
I am home-schooled, so I was at home. I was around 7 or 8 and I remember hearing my mom call me to the screen. I remember being glued to the TV and watching the towers fall over and over again. It was hard to me to believe (and sometimes it still is) that it was my country this was happening to.
