A Few Snapshots from my June

9:14 AM

June wasn't an easy month for me, which means I took almost no pictures. But here are a few highlights from the month.

My husband's birthday is the second and I had so much fun hosting his family at our house to celebrate.

It was fun to create a fun area for drinks.

Our one and only hike for the month was an early morning hike at Bastrop State Park. It was our first state park we hiked as a couple so it was fun to go back.

Late in the month, Mom took me to one of my favorite Mexican places to celebrate my birthday early.

The highlight of my month was my birthday trip Scott took me on.
We went to Dallas and started by going to the Museum of Biblical Art.

I had visited with my family years ago, but I was really excited to get to share it with Scott.

That evening, we had a delightful visit with my dear friend and fellow author Grace. It had been far to long since we had been able to sit and talk for a few hours. It was good to catch up.

The next morning, we got up and I showed Scott some of the places that were connected with my family history in the Dallas area, including the bridge (pictured) where my parents got engaged. This was fitting because we visited on the one-year anniversary of our engagement.

I was very excited to finally get to visit the ICR Discovery Center. I've been wanting to go since I found out they were building it. It was an awesome birthday gift to be able to go.

If you are ever in Dallas, make sure you swing by.

What have you been up to this month?
