When God Calls

Have you ever been called by God to do something big? Has he ever sent you out on a quest for his best? Has he ever set you out on the adventure of a lifetime? Has he ever moved you and the people around you, so that there was no doubt in your mind that it was God’s hand at work? This is something that has been going on at our house for the past couple months, but I wanted to wait to write about it.

You see, God has started us on an amazing adventure. Though, I have to admit, it is such a radical change that it is scary as well as exciting. God used a book called “So You Don’t Want to go to Church Anymore?” By Wayne Jacobson to radically change the way we have always viewed church. It made us (my entire family) re-think our entire lives and ask the question; Is this a biblical way of doing this, or is it just what most Christians say is the right thing to do?

It is amazing what your life looks like when you ask that question. For us, it especially made us look at how we do church. I will tell you about that tomorrow.

For the next few days I will be sharing about the journey that God has been taking us on. The hard realization that we needed to radically change what we were doing, the pain in letting go and changing, the excitement for the future, the fear of failure, these are just a part of the adventure. It isn’t just my destiny, the plans that God has for me, that I will talk about, but that of my entire family.
