When I can’t do everything

10:24 AM

This is going to be a fairly busy week for me. On top of all the normal things, we will be doing some extra weeding at the organic farm, doing some house cleaning, and I have some writing projects that need to get done. Sometimes I feel like there are not enough hours in the day to do all I need to do. Sometimes, like today, I don’t feel like I have the energy to get done even what I need to get done.

It is so easy for me when I feel like I can't do much, to do nothing. Instead of getting off the couch and doing something small that I can do, I just sit and do nothing because I can’t do everything. Maybe that is just me, but I am working on not being lazy even when I feel tired. Even if I can’t do all that I want to do, I try to do what I need to do.

I am not sure if this post made any sense at all. If it didn’t, I apologize and hope that you will still keep coming. If this post did make sense, what do you do when you feel like doing nothing?

  2. HI Sarah! I know just what you mean! This happens to me all the time and I am continually having to tell myself to keep going and not just sit around the house! =:) I also can feel rushed and overworked at times as well, and then instead of sitting, go in a mad passion cleaning and working trying to fit it all into my time schedule. Thank you for being so honest! That is a hard thing to do; admitting your faults. That is a hard thing to do at times. =:)

Whenever I feel overworked and busy and then feel like giving up and doing nothing, I read my bible and remind myself that the busyness will be over soon. Sometimes, I need to take a few minutes and just sit somewhere quietly by myself and collect my thoughts and pray. That greatly helps me to relax and calm down. It also helps me if I am feeling lazy and need some energy to accomplish everything! I try to lean on God's strength instead of my own, and that helps me through the day/week/month.

I hope you feel better soon! I know you can do it all with God's help! =:D

    Blessings and Hugs!

  3. When I feel like doing nothing, I typically drive Mom nuts telling her I'm bored! I know, it's NOT the best thing to do with one's time, so it's something I have to work on. =)
