According to the poll that we are taking right now, a lot of you want to hear more about me. So, today I will tell you about one of the biggest and most important things about me; my family.

I have the most wonderful parents in the whole world, who have encouraged me in all my undertakings such as this blog. I have four sisters that I have so much fun with every day though my sister Rose and I share a special bond. My parents did manage to add one brother to the bunch and he is our brave guy, killing all the spiders and other pests that came are way.

When we are out shopping people are always commenting that we seem to like each other and that we treat other so well in public. I always want to say that that is because we really do like each other and we really do get along in real life. We have so much fun together and we depend on each other. I thank God that he put me into this wonderful family

Here we are on writing Saturday and I thought that I would tell you how I stated my writing journey. I didn't began my adventure in writing till I was about ten or eleven, up till that point I had only written letters and a few very short very poorly written stories that will never be of fixed enough to be published. They were a start though, but my real writing began at age eleven.

We were all sitting around the living room after watching one of our favorite movies, Robin Hood, discussing the fact that God said not to steal and therefore, no matter how bad the situation is, we should never steal. Then, one of us came up with a great idea; what if we rewrote the story of Robin Hood and in are book we would make it so he didn't steal. Mom, who was listening near by, suggested that if we were going to take the time and effort to write a book, we should write our own story. That is what set me off on my writing adventure.

Over the course of the next three years, I wrote a book set in the medieval times in the fictional country of Shieham. I learned so much about writing and I loved creating the story and molding the characters. I learned that sometimes, even when you didn't feel like it, I had to keep writing in order to get the book done. But I also discovered my passion for writing.

What about you? How did you began writing or bloging?

When we are little, many of us dream of becoming astronauts, ballerinas, gold metal athletes, or actors. As we grow and mature though, we realize that many of those childhood fantasies will never be reality. We now dream of being wives, mothers, accountants and teachers. We have, what we call, realistic expectations of life, as we go to collage live quietly at home.

The more we grow up the smaller we dream. When the biggest dream in our life is to get a raise or go see a concert, I say that we are dreaming far to small. We serve an all powerful God, Our God is God over the impossible and yet all we dream for are small things.

Don't get me wrong. I understand that just because God can fulfill our dreams doesn't mean he will. I also understand that sometimes we have to set aside our dreams and live our lives, but sometimes, what we really need, is to sit and dream big dreams and see what God will do with them

My big dream is that one day, I will be a published author. I have written five books already, though none of them are published, and many articles. I can hardly wait to see what God will do with this gift of writing he gave me. What are your big dreams?

We were watching the men's Olympic swimming events the yesterday. We all cheered Micheal Phelps broke another world record and his tenth gold. We watched the incredible relay race which the Americans won and broke the world record by five whole seconds. As an American, I cheered on the Gymnast teamed and hoped that they would overcome all odds and win. Yesterday reminded me of something very important though; in our race of the faith, we are pursuing a crown that will last forever.

There is something wonderful about see your country's athlete on that gold stand winning another metal for your country, but that metal will one day collect dust and the athlete will be forgotten. We, as Christan however, are running the race of faith for a everlasting crown and all who believe will get that crown. Think about that. In the Olympics only one person gets the gold, but in the race of faith every one of us will get our crown.

All of this leads to a question; What are you and I doing to prepare ourselves for the rough part of the race? When we start loosing strength, do we know how to find more? Are we preparing ourselves that even when we receive an injury or come to what seems to be an overwhelming obstacles we, with God's help, can over come it? Are we spending some time every training our mind and heart to be more Christ like by praying and reading the Bible? Are we preparing ourselves so that we can the race well to the very end so that when we cross that finish line we can say with Paul; I have fought a good fight, I have finished the race and I have kept the faith.

Last month, I told you about a girls group my sister Rose and I host every month. Today was our last meeting of the year. We gave out certificates of completion to everyone and a spacial award to a girl for her Bible memory.

It is always a little sad to see a good thing end but it was especially hard today. You see, the girls group that my sister and I have been hosting for the past three years will not be meeting next year. We are taking a year off because our lives are getting busy and we have lost our enthusiasm which is very important in a ministry like that.

Even though I am a little sad that we may never have another Genteel Blooms meeting at our house again, I am exited about the opportunities ahead of me. This blog and other writing opportunities are opening before me faster then I can keep up with. Writing is my passion and therefore I am very exited about all that.

I will end this post with one of my favorite sayings; When God closes a door, he always opens a window

Well, for those of you wondering why there was no post on Saturday, you are not alone. I did post something for Writing Saturday and as soon as a hit the post button, it seems that it was lost in cyberspace. I will work harder to make sure that this does not happen again.

I hope that you will keep me in your prayers this week. The past few days have been rough for no apparent reason which probably means that I am doing battle with my unseen foe. Spiritual battles are hard to fight. You can't see them, but you know that they are going on. The only way to fight them is through prayer.

May God be with you today.

So sorry that I took so long to post today. I have been busy helping my two youngest sisters learn to sew. I am helping my eleven year old sister make a night gown and my nine year old sister make a doll dress. It has been so fun to see them exited about making things and learning a new skill.

Tomorrow, I am planing to post on writing and will try to post something on writing every Saturday. See you tomorrow.

I love to watch the bloopers reels that you find on many movies these days. I find it fun to watch actors mess up lines or do something start laughing in the middle of what is supposed to be a sad scene because the phone starts ringing. I am not sure why I find pleasure in seeing them mess up, maybe because it shows that they are not super human.

The movies are not the only place that you will find bloopers though. If you look you will find them all though life. Some of you who read my first post, will remember that I asked for you to watch out for mistakes and tell me if you found one. Well thanks to my Dad, many of my posts have been corrected before anyone saw them.

Today, I am going to share some of my past bloopers. I hope that you enjoy them.

1. In my very first post, instead of saying that I wasn't going to shock the world, I wrote that I wasn't going to shack the world. I don't know what that means but it doesn't sound very nice.

2. In Tuesdays post, instead of saying that we picked all the ripe vegetables we could, I said we picked all the rip vegetables. A little difference there.

3. One of my most common mistakes in my spelling was getting minute mixed up with minuet. This sounds very funny when your main character exclaims "I will me back in a minuet!"

I will keep my eyes our for more bloopers. Have a great day!

Today is one of those day. You know, the kind of day when you aren't sick but don't feel good? I feel lazy and tired but I wanted to post something so that you might keep something back (smile).

It seems that I have more then my fair share of these kind of days but I am sure all of us think that. I have a slight allergy to mold and the mold count is sky high in this part of Texas.

Here is hoping that tomorrow I will be feeling better and post something worth while.

Twice a week we work at a farm near our house. During the winter and spring we weed row, after row, after row of carrots, squash, broccoli and other vegetables. During the summer months however, even though the weeds get bad, we have trouble just harvesting all that is ripe and ready to pick.

Working at the farm is hard work and frustrating at times. In the winter, it is so windy that you can't stay warm and in the summer, the wind goes away and you are hot even when you work early in the morning. All of this is worth it though when I eat potato's that we have picked that morning and fresh salads.

Have a blessed day.
