I'm struggling to be joyful and grateful in all things. My mom recommended this book to me a while back I finally read it. Nancy's words always correct and encourage me. I really enjoyed the audiobook.
7. Cleftlocke by Nicole Sager
I finally got caught up in reading Sager's novels. This one really stood out. Not only was the massage amazing, but the storytelling was also superb. The setting and the twists really made the book.
6. The Mark of Zorro by Johnston McCulley
Read by B.J. Harrison 
Okay, this book was just a blast to read. It was a light, enjoyable read. It was clean, funny, and narrated so well. I've loved many versions of Zorro I've watched, it was fun to finally read the story that started it all.

This is another book I read with Kelsey this year. Actually, it was the first book we read together this year. It was full of reminders I needed to hear. This is one of those books that I get new things about it every time I read it.

2. It's Not Supposed to Be This Way by Lysa TerKeurst 
I was having a really rough time and questioning whether God was good. I didn't like that I was, but I couldn't deny my struggle either. Mom had bought me this book and a friend pushed me to read it. It ministered to my soul in a profound way. I was crying, I was nodding my head, and I wanted to give TerKeurst a hug. God is good. While things AREN"T how they are supposed to be, God is working them for my good.

Tell me about your NaNoWriMo project this year! Give me a blurb!

Princess Fabia has always wanted to go on a grand adventure. For her birthday, her father gives her just that. She is sent to deliver a sword a neighboring kingdom, but then she is shipwrecked and nothing goes as planned.

 What’s the genre?

Kingdom Adventure/Non-magical Fantasy

 Describe your MC in three words.

Confident. Feminine. Princess.

 Without spoilers, describe your villain in three words.

Nature. Bandits. Injury. 

(Yeah, I don't have a main villain planned at the moment)

 What is your goal? (the traditional 50K? 20K? 5K? or……. 100K?)

Ummm... 50K or until the story is done. 

 Is this your first draft? Second? Third?

Well, technically it's a second draft. I started this book a couple of years ago and got about 10,000 words in, but I made some major changes so this is a restart. However, I will be using some from the old draft. 

Are you starting a new project (or draft), or continuing an existing one?

 Yes...and yes... I am staring from chapter 1, but I will be bringing in some of the old draft.

What is your favorite time to write in the day?

Mid-morning to mid-afternoon

Where are you going to write?

At my table in my writing corner.

Computer or paper?

Computer all the way. I can type almost as fast as I can think so

NaNoWriMo is a huge commitment!! How are you going to make time to write?

Actually, since I plan not to have any other projects for that month, I feel like it's going to be really fun and a break. Besides! I'm so excited to be writing!

Are you going to participate in local or online NaNoWriMo events? (e.g. kick-off parties in your city, write-ins, virtual writing sprints…)

I might do some sprints, but I'm not sure.

Do you write from beginning to end or skip around?

Beginning to end. Always.

Planner or pantser? (or plantser?)

I'll probably have a little planned out, but my stories never go as planned. I'm pretty much a panster.  

What will be your go-to NaNoWriMo snack?

I'm not sure. I don't snack as much as I used to as I'm trying to eat healthier. Probably veggies dipped in ranch dressing. (For my friend that dislikes ranch dressing, I promise to have another option available)

Choice of caffeine? (or no caffeine?)

Tea and Dr Pepper. Mainly tea though because (as I said) I'm trying to eat healthier.

Any rewards for milestone achievements? For finishing NaNoWriMo?

If I finish the novel, I plan to buy myself a month of Kindle Unlimited for December and read a lot of Christmas books.

Write extra when you can and make sure to take off days when you need to or for holidays. Time off and planning for time off is an important part of completing NaNo

I've been inspired by the lives of Jim and Elisabeth Elliot for years. Their daughter let us get a look at their love story like never before. We got to see that these were two people with flaws, yet, they were both devoted to Christ.  I was inspired, once again, to live my life totally devoted to Christ.

I like novels. I like being able to just let go and enjoy a fictional world for a while. This series has been awesome for that. Think of some fun spy show you enjoy, you know, the family-friendly one. Well, this is even better! Join 19-year-old Emily Abbot as she gets caught up in the spy world.

1. All The Places to Love by Patricia MacLachlan

My Mom read this book out loud to us so many times, I can probably still recite it. This was one of Mom's favorite books and it became one of mine. The pictures are amazing and the story is so sweet.  I think it was my first childhood favorite.

3. The Courage of Sarah Noble by Alice Dalgliesh
This is the first book I remember reading over and over when I was young. The girl and I shared a name. And with this cover, she even looked like me at the age I was reading it. It fed my love for history, girls being brave, and my interest in different cultures.

4. In Grandmothers Attic by Arleta Richardson

I don't know how many times I read this series, but it was a lot. I have early memories of my Mom reading this book and us learning about the real places that Mabel lived. While fiction, the stories were based on stories Richardson's grandmother told her. My sisters and I still talk about the stories here.

5. Sarah's Journey Series by Wanda Luttrell
In my tweens and early teens, I read this series probably ten times. Not only did the main character and I share a name, but I was affected spiritually by this book. In Home on Stoney Creek, Sarah is always wanting what she doesn't have and hurts her family with her bad attitude. I felt like this book helped me in a lot of ways deal with the bad attitudes that were rooted in my heart.
